Please find below additional information on both the Local Restriction Grant Scheme (LRGS) and Additional Restrictions Grant (ARG).
As a reminder the grants cover the following businesses;
- Local Restrictions Grant Scheme (LRGS): for businesses with business rates accounts that have been forced to close their main business due to the National Lockdown
- Additional Restrictions Grant (ARG): is a discretionary local scheme for all business that have stayed open but have suffered a severe loss of income directly because of the National Lockdown for businesses without a business rates account that have been forced to close their main business due to the National Lockdown
You can now make a claim for either grant and the deadline for making the claim is the 25th November so make sure you don’t miss this deadline. I include the link below which includes details of how to claim.
At present you still do not appear to be able to claim for either grant from this council. I include a link below to the page that will be updated once you can. There is also a link which enables you to sign up to a business newsletter which should update you once the scheme is available to claim.
Exeter City Council
As with East Devon, at present you can’t make a claim. Again, I include a link below to the Exeter City Council news page and you can sign up to the email updates if you haven’t already.
Unfortunately again you do not currently appear to be able to claim this grant yet. As with East Devon and Exeter I include a link below to the council site where you can sign up for updates.
I am now starting to sound like a broken record so I will simply say the same as above.
If any client has been able to claim the grant from any of the councils I have mentioned then if you are happy to, please let me know as it would be helpful to be able to share this information.
Sorry I couldn’t be more helpful and from the information we have it does look like one council appears to be ahead of the rest at the moment! As soon as I have additional information I will of course update you.
As always stay safe and if you have any questions please get in touch.
